Homemade Animal Crackers for the dog? …Why not.
This recipe is super easy and has become Einsteins favorite flavor so far. To make this recipe easy I used jarred baby food. Just remember to check the label for dog friendly ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a sheet tray with a Silpat or parchment paper, set aside. In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients and form into a ball. “Flour” your work surface with wheat germ and roll the dough to a 1/4″ thickness and cut out your favorite 1″ shape, place crackers on the sheet tray.
Bake 20 minutes. Flip crackers over, rotate the tray in the oven and bake another 10 minutes. Leave in the oven (turned off) to cool and crisp up.
Makes about 55 crackers, treat your pup(s) within 2-3 weeks. Store in a cool dry place.

1- 6oz jar chicken&veggie baby food
1/2cup plus 2tbl wheat germ plus more to “flour” your work surface
2/3cup oats, ground
